TSN reports that Maple Leafs President Richard Peddie has called the hiring of Leafs GM John Ferguson Jr. "a mistake".
So there you have. Hiring Ferguson was officially a mistake. In other news the sky is blue, the Pope is Catholic and just about everyone on the Leafs blueline is overpaid.

Does this mean Ferguson is going to be fired before Maurice...? Paul Maurice must be hoping so.
Leafs fans should hope so. Maurice has had some success in the past and hasn't done a horrible job this year, whereas Ferguson has been horrible for years now. If I were a Leafs fan I would be hoping Ferguson is shown the door before he has a chance to fire Maurice as a desperation move.
