According to TSN Peter Forsberg wants to return to the NHL. The Capitals need a right wing (where Foppa is best suited due to his injury trouble) to displace Fleischmann and play with Ovechkin on the first line and have a talented young Swede people are calling "the next Forsberg".
Hey, a guy can dream can't he?

No. No no no no no. Forsberg in his prime? I'd take him in a heartbeat. This Foppa is way too injury-prone for me, and we've got enough fragile guys as it is.
Plus Fleischmann's been picking up his game a lot lately and was really the only one flying yesterday against the Bruins. I'm holding out hope for him yet...
Stick Flash in the press box and dress him when Foppa, Semin or someone else needs a rest?
I thought about it - I would agree with you if it were the offseason and the Caps were trying to fill a hole for the season. But if they could get him at this point, without giving anything up, I think it'd only be a plus.
But I wouldn't bank on it under any circumstances. "Hence the Wild Capitals-related Fanatasies that Will Never Come True" tag
Don't count out the MN Wild for Pete...
